An unexciting trip to the ER
Well we had quite the trip to the ER on Labor Day! We were outside enjoying a BBQ with friends and our little miss Taylor fell off the ladder on the jungle gym and hit her mouth. It wasn't just a normal bump but blood gushing everywhere. Two of her teeth were pushed forward and the poor little girl was screaming. Jaman and I rushed her in checked her out had a friend help give her a fast blessing and rushed her to Children's Mercy ER. We walked in and I was covered with blood. You would think that a little kid that just had such trauma would want to just be held but no she wanted down and wanted to play. She is one tough little girl. She was calm and I her mom seeing her mouth all messed up was devistated. She ended breaking her upper maxilla bone. She had to be put out while an oral surgeon put her bone in place and stitched her up. In the process one of her teeth was unsavable so she lost her first tooth. That was so hard for Jaman and I to see her put out lying on the table with blood everywhere. We both had so many tears. She is doing well. You would never guess she even got hurt. It has been much harder on Jaman and I. I am so sad about her mouth. Our other biggest challenge was we had to take her binki away. She sleeps with it so this has been SO hard. We have had lots of tears and it breaks my heart. I know she needed weened from it anyway but not this way. So we are on our third night without the binki. She has done pretty good. Sometimes I want to go crazy but it has made me take the time to rock her to sleep and I have treasured that. This has been quite the emotional trip for me. I am sure being pregnant hasn't helped but I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who listens to me at anytime of the day. This has been hard but I constantly feel my Savior's love for me. I was having a rough time and had just got done saying a prayer and had felt so alone and I heard a knock on my door. It was a friend of mine (Calli) just checking to make sure I was ok. The spirit bore witness to me that day that Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I am thankful for friends that live so close to the spirit that she knew to come to my house. I am thankful for a loving husband who was worthy to give her a Priesthood blessing. Jaman has been so good through this whole thing and so patient with an emotional wife.

Preserving Memories

The past 2 months I have been baking a loaf of bread each week. Jaman and I have wanted to have homemade wheat bread forever now and I finally found a recipe that turns out perfect everytime. The bread has been so wonderful to have but we were missing out on homemade jam. So this past trip home I had my mom teach me how to make homemade jam. Today Taylor and I gave it a shot. It turned out so yummy! I am so thankful I have a wonderful mom that can teach me all these wonderful things. I hope I can be half the mom she is. So here are some pictures of my little chef and our final product. I loved making it with Taylor. We are enjoying our one on one time that she will soon have to share.

I love to see the temple....I'll go inside someday
When we went into the celestial room it went silent and the Spirit was so strong. I was overcome with the Spirit. I couldn't help but think how wonderful it felt to be holding Taylor and feel our new little one moving inside my tummy and know that we would be together forever. It was a reminder to me of the sacred and wonderful covenants Jaman and I made over 4 years ago that allows us to be sealed to eachother and our kids for time and all eternity. I have such a testimony of temples and the ordinances we perform there. I was so thankful for this wonderful experince. The only think that could have made it better would have been to have Jaman. We sure missed him and are so glad to be back home with him again.

Story Book Park
There was hardly no kids there and it was fenced around. Wonderful for me... with a little busy wanderer. To top it off I got to sit and chat with my best friend my sister. I loved every minute. It was so fun to be together. Thanks Ang!!

I love the mountains!!!
This past weekend Taylor had her first experience with the mountains. She loved them. As I knew she would. She loves the outdoors and likes to get dirty. It was so nice to breath mountain fresh air. I sure miss that! On our way up the mountain. I remembered to pack her a pair of pants but forgot a pair of shoes so she got to experience sandles in the mountains which isn't the funnest. As you can tell she loved the smores too!

Fun with Cousins
Taylor and I are enjoying our summer getaway. Grandpa and Grandma flew us home for a little summer vacation. It was well needed for me. I feel like life is somewhat stressful right now and this has been so great. Taylor has had so much fun playing with cousins. It makes me realize how wonderful it is going to be in 4 and half months to live so close to family. I love it.
This was her first experience with a slip and slide. It was quite entertaining to watch the little ones run down it and slip. She loved every bit of it. Especially Ty & Melissa's big open yard. She felt so much freedom I could tell compared to her small space in Kansas. I can't wait for a yard!!!
