Oh where has the summer gone. I can't believe it is already the middle of July. Time is flying by. We have been super busy with getting a yard put in, chasing kids, camping, fishing, softball and being with family. Taylor has been really busy this month with friends. Bridger is growing way to fast and I realize everyday he is just not a baby anymore. He is talking and getting so smart. Last night he almost said the whole family prayer. Such a sweet moment. Taylor and him are becoming quite the duo. They do almost everything together. The morning I ran my race my mom watched them and she said Bridger woke up and helped her make muffins and then got his blanket and went and laid by Taylor and fell back asleep. It was the cutest thing ever to find when I got home. Jaman has been busy with work and with preparing his high adventure. He sure loves his calling and has grown such a love for the boys. I know they all love him. He is a great example for them. I have been running and trying to keep up with everything. Jaman and I have been playing in a coed softball league. Our team is terrible but it has been so much fun getting to know couples in our ward. We are getting ready for another few weeks of business with family reunions. I am really excited to see all my extended family. I haven't seen some of my cousins in over 5 years so I can't wait. All of the business is worth it in the end.

My first 5K
Well I did it. I ran in my first 5K. About a month ago I decided I wanted to start running and get into shape. I was at a point where I felt like I was in the worst shape I had been in. I always had no energy. I slept in to long in the mornings. I wanted to change. So I started getting up in the mornings and running. At first I couldn't even run a mile without stopping. A friend of mine suggested running in the spud run with her in September. It is also a 5K. After my first day of running I thought to myself. There is NO WAY I can run three miles. So I kept at it. Each day running a little farther. After 3 weeks I was up to running 3 miles. It got actually pretty easy. My sister was running in the hammer run in Declo that same weekend we were there so I decided to do it. I ran it in 29 mins. I am not super fast but I ran the whole time. It felt great. During the race I passed a women in a wheelchair. That really hit me. I felt so blessed to be able to run. It was then that it made me realize what a true blessing it was to be able to wake up each morning and have two healthy legs that allowed me to run. I have enjoyed running this past month. It has been great physically as well as emotionally. I have so much more energy every day. I get so much more accomplished. I feel so much happier. My goal is to keep running more and farther distances. I am learning to love running. I never in my life thought I would say this. In high school I hated it with a passion. I still remember the day a friend and I ran the 800 in a track meet and I seriously thought I was going to die.

Parade
Jaman is in the young mens so he had a high adventure to take his boys on. So the kids and I decided to go back to Declo and spend time with family. They were having Declo days so we went to the parade with all our cousins. This was my kids first parade. What can I say we have deprived our kids. It is not that it is just we have lived in big cities for the past four years and the parades there just always seemed really overwhelming having young kids so we never went. This parade was the perfect size for our little ones. They threw out tons of candy which Taylor loved. It is always fun to be with family and enjoy being outside.

A play date
Summer has been busy. Going here and there. Taylor has been playing with the neighbor girl that lives down the road. She has loved every minute. This particular day they were waiting on the steps for Taylor's friends mom to pick her up. I decided to snap some pics.
Bridger gets so sad when Taylor leaves. They are becoming best friends. There fights are becoming fewer I think. I just love and cherish the times when they play together.

Grass in progress
These pictures were taken about two weeks ago so the grass has really came a long ways from this. It is actually getting sprayed this week so all the weeds can now die. It has been so nice to finally be able to have a yard. We have been letting the bunnies out at night and letting the kids run and chase them. They have loved every bit of it. I am loving more and more every day where we live. It is beginning to feel like home.

Dentist
Taylor has had a whole month of adventures and firsts. I noticed she had a cavity in one of her back molars when I would brush her teeth. I knew it was time that she go to the dentist. She was just a little bit nervous of the dentist. She relates to the dentist of a scary place seen on Finding Nemo. I told her it wasn't going to be that way. We had found an amazing dentist here where we live that is great so I knew she would be find. I won't mention how many cavities later we are done. She did so awesome. She didn't have the gas or nothing. Just had the shot and he went to work. Dr. Hansen is seriously by far the best dentist ever. He was so great with her. Yesterday when we finished her last appointment I said we won't have to come back her for a while she was sad..."but I really like going there mom". I am thankful that she was so good. I have heard of awful kid dental experiences and I am glad she likes it.

Ear Piercing
Taylor has been asking for the past two months to get her ears pierced. I always wanted it to be my daughter choice to get it done. So I told her we could go get it done. Every time I would get ready to take her she would say " I want to wait longer mom, I am not ready" So I waited for her to want to. Well the day came that she wanted them and there was no backing out. She was ready to be in her words " Just like Mom" We headed to the mall. Of course Taylor had to pick the most expensive pair of earings.
We had them do both ears at once to make it easier. Which is good if they both get it straight. Long story short one side was so not straight. The girl totally missed her dot. So we had to take one out and let it grow shut and then get it redone in 4 days. Now they are great.
She started to get ready to cry and tear up but then they broke out the good stuff. A sucker is all it took to change this girls face right around. I am so proud of her. The second time when they fixed it she didn't even flinch. She loves to have her ears pierced and is so proud of them. She shows everyone. I was worried she would play with them and try to take them out but she hasn't bothered them at all.

What a little boy can do
So Bridger was taking a nap. I was busy upstairs cleaning and working. He sleeps in a big bed so he usually gets out and comes upstairs when he is awake. Well this particular day I guess he woke up feeling really curious.
We have an extra bedroom downstairs that we obviously don't use. We haven't really done anything in there as far as painting. So I have all my paints and craft supplies in there. I had been laying drop clothes down and that is where I have been painting furniture. Until this day I had no idea Bridger could open doors. I learned this when Taylor happend to come downstairs and heard Bridger and came running back upstairs.
This is what I found. I seriously did not even know where to start. I pulled out the carpet cleaner and started scrubing. After hours of scrubbing I finally gave up. The carpet in that room is officially ruined. So I guess it will be getting recarpeted sometime. I am thankful it isn't a room people ever see. After this day I put a child lock on the door. I learned really fast the descuction one can do in a matter of no time.

Summer trip to the Zoo
We sure love the zoo. I love our zoo here because it is the most perfect size. It takes about an hour to get through it. Which makes it nice with little kids. My sister and her kids came and stayed with us for a few days so we decided to take the kids to the zoo. It was a lot of fun.
The monkeys are always a favorite of our family. I think I could seriously sit and watch them for hours. They are so facinating to me.
Playing at the zoo in the farm section. Bridger chilled in the stroller a lot or was roaming around. He doesn't hold still for many pictures. Especially when there is so much to see.
