Life

Well there is a quick catchup on what has been happening at the Brunson home. I am learning to love everyday. Even the trials we are faced with. Being a mom for me always has ups and downs. Sometimes my kids are great and all is wonderful but other times I want to lock myself in my room and not come out for an hour but I think that is what motherhood is all about. Lots of times I get to stressed over little things and I forget to look at the big picture. I have been trying to ask myself "Is this really going to matter in 5 years" Most of the time it isn't. I love life. I love my family. I couldn't ask for better. My new favorite quote is " Family.....where life begins and love never ends!

Treasured Memories

Jaman always usually puts Ta to bed. We all have our regular bedtime routine that makes bed time a lot easier for the kids. Jaman always reads to Ta every night. Sometimes out of the blue I will ask her "How do you know mommy / daddy loves you?" Without fail Ta always mentions one of her favorite things is story time with her dad. Some nights Jaman is burnt out from work but I really love that he always takes this time with her and reads to her. I know that it is something she will always remember. Latley Bridger has tried to join in on the fun. Most of the time he just brings energy to the party. Once again I love MOMENTS like this.

More snow fun

We took the kids to a park near our house and let them sled down a little hill. It was perfect size for them. They could walk back up and go over and over. It sure beat packing them up a mountain each time. Every time we go and do these things as a family I am always reminded of how precious children are. I love that they find joy in the simplest things in life. They are a constant reminder for me. This is truely what life is all about. I learn every day that it is when I do these things with them that is where I turely find joy. They are a constant reminder to me what life is all about. Everything else isn't really that important.

The Love Fairy

The love fairy found us on Valentine's Day. She left love dust all over. The kids had to follow her path of dust to find a little love surprise from her.

Taylor really got into it this year. She was so excited to find love dust all over her door. She really was super excited for her love surprise and so was her daddy when he realized she got a harmonica. The love fairy is loving all the music!!! NOT!!! What was she thinking....a harmonica......gets on nerves really fast!!!

A typical morning at our house

Like I said there really is never a dull moment at our house. Taylor always has something up her sleeve to make me laugh. This particular morning she decided she wanted to be a "Mommy" and wear nylons while eating her breakfast. Most days I can't get enough of her but others I must admit she pushes every last button I have.

On the other hand this little guy just melts my heart with is grin!

A date with Mom

Taylor and I woke up one Saturday morning and we decided we were taking a girls day out to the movies. Ta has insisted on seeing Princess and the Frog so I decided it was time to let her get her wish. We had a fun time. We had yummy popcorn and treats and snuggled together at the theater. It was a great day. It is always fun to have one on one with the kids. My hair looks gray in this picture. It is totally the lighting. I hope someone please tell me if I am really that gray.

Art

We do lots of art in the winter. It is hard not being able to go outside all the time so I try to have fun things for the kids to do. Bridger just isn't really ready for real paints so he didn't mind doing the aqua doodle. I sure love this thing. No mess and lots of fun. Taylor on the other hand is to big for that so she insists on using big girl paints. All the while they are painting Taylor makes sure to run it into Bridger's face that only she gets to use big kid paints. She is quite the little gal these days. I just love that each day is a new adventure with these two. Usually it is one mess at a time but I am learning to live in the moment and love that.

I am beautiful Mom!

Taylor found the eyelashes I wore for Halloween. She insited on putting them on. Long before I knew she was carrying the camera and wanting pictures of herself. I love when kids find themselves really funny.

Winter Fun

We have enjoyed this winter. It has been a lot of fun with a new big yard to go outside and play. The kids now have lots of room to roam. Our property goes clear out there to the trees you can see way back there. It is cloudy this day but it is actually a mountain back there. It is really pretty out here in the country. We are sure loving it. The first day I got the kids all bundled up I realized I don't have a baby boy anymore. He is getting so big. He Loved the snow. He loves to be outside. I am sure this Summer I am not going to be able to get him to come in.

Taylor has always enjoyed being outside whatever the weather may be. Here is taking a little bit of a crash coming off the slide.

Bridger had a little face plant. He hopped back up and was ready to go in. It was COOOOLDD!!! So ya I am so in need of a new camera incase you haven't noticed the little black area at all the bottoms of my pictures. Some I get it cropped out but I am playing major catch up today. It is really buggin me. I will have to change that really soon.

Christmas Morning

Santa did find us at Grandpa and Grandma's. I think it was a lot of work for Santa to have to carry all the presents there but he did it. Taylor really wanted a doll house and I guess she got her wish. She has played with that house more than any other toy. Boy does that make Santa happy.

Bridger didn't really understand and know what to ask for. So like always Santa did a great job picking out a horse for Bridger. He loves to ride his horse. He learned quickly that if you pull on it's ears it talks and sings. Overall we had a great Christmas. These are just a few of the many pictures. We spent Christmas with my family as well as with Jaman's. It is wonderful to be so close to both of our families now.

Nativity 2010

This is seriously my most favorite part of Christmas. Each year we always do the Nativity at my parents house. My mom takes the grandkids and dresses them up with things she just has around the house. She does a really good job for getting them all dressed in about 10 minutes or less. Then my dad reads the nativity. Well this year we were missing my brothers and their families so we didn't have a Joseph. So we talked Jaman into being Joseph. It was such a great night. The spirit was so strong. Usually Taylor is a really active little girl but she wasn't during the Nativily. She was so serious about being Mary. She had been asking me the week prior if she could be Mary. It was so cute that night that she took her part so serious. It is so much fun doing this with family and watching the little ones. It is such a great way for them to always remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Eve Guitar Hero

I talked Jaman into packing up his x-box and bringing it to my parents to play a little Guitar Hero. I really love this game. I am not much of a gamer and really Jaman isn't either but it sure is fun playing this. I talked my parents into trying it. It was so funny. We didn't grow up with game systems like Jaman's family. My dad always thought there was something better to be doing but he actaully got into it and we had a lot of fun. I have to document these pictures so we can always look back and laugh. We had a fun Christmas Eve hanging out with family and eating yummy food. Isn't that what the holidays are all about.

More Christmas

I can't find the pictures of us decorating the Christmas tree. I sure hate when that happens. That is what I get for being a slacker. It seems as if it is a traditon in our family to move right around Christmas. Always in the month of December. I don't really know why it always is that month, but it has been. When we moved back from Kansas it was like a week and a half before Christmas so life was crazy and we didn't get to set up a tree. Thankfully Jaman's mom went and bought us a little one to have for that week. A year passes and we decide to buy a house.....once again right around Christmas. I was not going to have another year with out a tree so as soon as we got the house painted before we even moved I found our Christmas boxes and we went to set up the tree. It is always a lot of fun with kids. Once again I love the magic and joy that comes with Christmas. Here is Bridger enjoying the moment. He is finally at the age to get excited about these things. I am so looking forward to next year with no moves. Chistmas should be a lot less stressful.

A visit to Santa

Yes I know Christmas was a few months ago but I have to play catch up for mysef. I am going to print this out into a book and I don't want to forget all the wonderful things that happened during the moving process. I love the MAGIC in santa. It is so much fun as kids get older to see the excitement in their eyes. I just love how they just get the "I BELIVE" all over their faces.

Bridger just didn't know what to think. He didn't cry but he was really interested in Santa. Especially his beard. He kept looking up at him and would touch his beard. Good thing this Santa's beard was real. Didn't want to have any embarrasing moment of a beard being pulled off. It was worth the wait to see him.
