One weekend we went to Burley to visit. Since Easter was bad weather and we usually go here on Easter we decided to go one Saturday. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a lot of fun. They loved climbing rocks and hiking. Taylor and Bridger love every chance to be with cousins.
This place is quite facinating. Here is Taylor poping her head through a hole in the rock.
At the top of this rock is a little pool of water. Taylor took off her shoes and was right in the water before we could even say no.

Scouts!
My church calling is cub scouts. When I was asked I was a little shocked. I know nothing about scouts let alone eight year old boys, but it has been a lot of fun. This particular day we were at a big scout Jamboral. It was in celebration of 100 years of scouting. It was insane at how many people were there. I was in charge of these 3 boys this day. They were such a hoot and they kept the day adventerous and funny. I was burnt out by the end of the day.

Butterfly Kisses
Jaman had found this butterfly so he brought it out back for the kids to see. Ta was in heaven. It just sat so calm on her finger and it crawled around. She was not scared at all. She has become really into nature. One of her favorite songs is "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" It is so cute to hear her walk around the yard singing it. Now we have at least 6 Lilac bushes in bloom so she is constantly picking them and singing it.
Bridger on the other had was fine when Jaman was helping but the second Jaman let him do it himself he wanted nothing to do with it.

A morning project!
I was just talking to a friend of mine and said how so many pictures my kids are in their jammies. Yes we do have clothes and yes we do get dressed but on days we are lazy and end up staying in jammies that just seems to be the days I snap pictures. I don't stage my kids all dressed perfect. You get truth here. On this day we actually did get dressed but I let the kids paint before I had them in their nice clothes. Taylor really wanted to plant her own flower. So I let them each get a pot at the store to paint. They actually had a lot of fun painting them. Then it was their flower to take care and water. The status. Two weeks later their flowers are dead and Bridger's got dumped out but next year they can try again.
Bridger also decided to taste the paint. I swear this kid puts everything in his mouth. I can't even count the pounds of dirt this kid must have eaten. I guess a little dirt won't kill ya.
Focused and hard at work. Taylor is really becoming the little artist. One day I found a piece of paper with a stick person on it. Head, legs, arm, mouth, eyes, nose and hair. I asked her who drew this and she looked and me like "I did". I didn't even know. She really loves to write and writes her name really pretty good. I am really debating rather to put her into preschool next year and have her do two years or not.

Ouch!
Bridger and his big ouch! Each night we read books to our kids before bed. I had sent Bridger to go pick out a book. Of course books were out and scattered in front of the bookshelf. He slipped into the bookshelf and hit his eye. He started crying so hard. I went running and found a nice gash and lots of blood. His eye went black and he had a nice wound. Yesterday it was pretty much healed and then somehow don't really know with this little adventurous boy it is broken open again. So we start again. Got to love little boys!

All Boy & Happy Mother's Day
I had a wonderful Mother's Day. That weekend was a cousins farewell so we had lots of family staying with us to go to the temple with him. It was such a fin weekend. I love to be able to go to the temple with all my family. It makes it extra special. I also love to have visitors. I had been wanting an entryway table for some time. I never could find one I wanted to Jaman went ahead and built this table with me from scraps from the garage. I love it and it makes it extra special because he made it for me. Bridger is all boy. As you can tell he was right there through the process. He is always playing with Jaman's drill gun so we bought him one and he never puts that thing down. Anytime Jaman has his for a project Bridger is right there by him.
The finished Mother's Day gift. I love being a mom. I never in my life ever thought it was going to be near this hard. I will be honest. Many days I feel like giving up and I award myself "worst mom" award. I also never knew being a mom would be SO rewarding either. Even when a day has gone completly wrong. One "Thank you Mom" or "I love you" melts all that frustration away. I feel so blessed that a loving Heavenly Father has entrusted me with some of His precious children. I hope and pray constantly to be a mother pleasing to my Heavenly Father.
