Birthday Play Date !

For Taylor's birthday I didn't want to really do a big party. Life is a little bit hectic around here. Closing on a house. Trying to make sure everything can be switched in our name and all the good stuff of moving. CRAZY! I feel like we just did that. So I let Taylor have her good friend from the ward Abbey over. They had so much fun and they play AWESOME together. I haven't ever heard them fight once or have any argument. She gave Taylor a Cinderella Barbie. Taylor loved it. After opening it they had their little princess talk for awhile. It is so fun listening to little girls. My favorite conversation. Abbey says "I love Snow White.", Taylor responding "I love Ariel." Abbey "Me too." Taylor " Do you like Eric?" Abbey "No he is a boy and I don't like boys" Taylor replying " I like him, I like boys!" It was the cutest. Hopefully she is just talking boys in general or I may have a boy chaser on my hands.
They made macaroni necklaces. They had a ball. We played princess memory and a few more games. Then they had a popcorn party and watched Snow White.
While her friend was over she got a card from her Great Grandma Silcock. She got money and was so excited. She adores her Great Grandma Silcock. Who couldn't she is the best Grandma anyone could ask for. I love that she loves all the Grandkids SOOO much. She just adores them and loves to see them and be with them all she can.
Taylor and Abbey. I know Taylor is going to be heartbroken when we move in a few weeks and Abbey won't be in our Ward anymore. They are quite the pals. I hope for some more girls in our new ward her age.

Going Private

Well after hearing too many bad stories of blogs and a recent one from a dear friend in Utah of their kids being taken from posting too much I am jumping on the band wagon and going private. I think for the most part I have a lot of emails already. If you have received an email from me before than it looks like you are getting an invite. If you have no desire to read the blog and you get an invite then its ok to delete it. If not and you want to still read feel free to leave me your address.

Halloween 2009

Jaman and I had bought clearance costumes the year before at the end of Halloween and decided we wanted to start dressing up with the kids. So Halloween night we all dressed up and did some trick or treating in the neighborhood. We had a lot of fun...got way to much candy.....and were exausted by the end of the night.

Trick or Treating on the Green Belt

Every year the LDS singles dress up and hand out candy around the green belt which goes around the river. It was on Friday night so we decided to get the kids ready and support the event. Taylor had a lot of fun. She got to do fish pond and have her face painted.
Bridger just loved being out and around people. He got to inherit the Skunk Costume this year. And it was nice because it kept him nice and warm.
Taylor was so excited to get her face painted. I don't know if it was because I was actually saying "Yeah she can put paint on your face" and she is used to hearing non stop "KEEP THE PAINT ON THE PAPER" whatever it was she was SOO excited.
Yeah so lets just say pretty cheesy face painting right, but Ta thought it was a masterpiece and would NOT let me wash it off at the end of the night. You can just tell in this picture the excitment in her eyes. Overall we had fun. It makes me so happy to see my kids get excited about events. It makes the night worth it.

Pumpkin Carving

It's fun as your kids get older they get more into carvin pumpkins. Taylor was so excited to help her dad carve a pumpkin. She carefully looked through the patterns and selected a spider. She didn't like get dirty this year which was a complete shock to me. She usually doesn't care but she kept wanting to wash her hands.
Bridger on the other had kept eating all the slimmies. I guess he figured we were using spoons so why not put it in my mouth. He was all over the place. Didn't have a clue what was going on but sure loved to make a mess.
Taylor getting ready to poke around the pattern. She actually did pretty good. We were quite impressed. And silly me didn't even take a picture of the masterpiece. Oh well I was burnt out of the camera by the end and I was busy trying to clean up the crazy kitchen.

Pumpkin Patch

Now that we live in Idaho Falls we have to figure out all the fun places to go for the holidays. We didn't grow pumpkins in our garden so we needed to find a patch. There are a few to choose from but I love the purpose behind this one. It is the U-Pick pumpkin patch and it was started by two young boys. They put the money every year in a fund for their future LDS missions. So when you buy pumpkins here you are supporting two future missionaries. We had a lot of fun. There were hundreds to choose from.
Loading the kids up in the wagon to start the pumpkin journey.
Bridger had a lot of fun. He was just starting to walk a lot so he was in heaven having so much space to run free.
Here is Taylor trying to make her way through the kids straw maze. She had a lot of fun. During the straw maze I noticed a man with a massive camera taking lots of pictures of Taylor. I was kinda starting to get a little wierded out but before long the guy came to talk to us. He was from the local Post REgister which is the newspaper. He asked for permission to put Taylor in the newspaper. So sure enough a few days later there she appeared.

Newspaper Clipping

Here is our little monkey climbing through all the pumpkins. She loved that she was in newspaper. She kept pointing out to us that the little girl in the picture was her.
