Front Porch Memories

So one thing I love about our house is the two front porch swings. I was not so sure about them when we moved in but after we restained them I decided they could stay. Now after the summer they are a for sure staying. They have been a lot of fun. It is always fun to go out and sit with the kids and talk. This particular day a storm was coming in. I LOVE storms. I love when the sky gets all gray and the air gets so calm. So we enjoyed this time together waiting for the rain to come. I hope for lots more fun memories on this front porch.

Mom and Me

Taylor and I try to have girl time when Bridger is taking naps. This particular day we had fun playing with the camera. She had just got on her swimming suit to head out to swim. This is seriously how Taylor spent most of her summer. In her swimming suit playing outside. Either in the swimming pool, running through sprinklers, or jumping on the tramp with water.

My eye is still a little swollen in this picture. I am not brave enought to post my pictures when it was completely swollen shut. But I will never forget the day that I was mowing lawn. Riding along and a horse fly decide to bite my eye. I am somewhat allergic to bites and by the end of the day I could hardly see. I must record this only for the two funny things Taylor said to me. It was going to be her first day of dance soon. I talked to her about taking her. She looked at me and said " Mom I don't want everyone to see your silly eye." I laughed. Then she went on to say " You can take me, just close your other eye too then nobody willl know." I was like she is 3. She should not already be to the stage of being embarassed but apparently so.

Play Group

Every week I take the kids to play group. This week we all went to a splash park. As you can tell from the pictures the kids had a lot of fun. It was so busy so that was enough to drive my crazy but I was able to keep up with the kids and have some girl social time in the sun. Bridger was never brave enough to go down the slides. Every time we would get up to the top the big bucket would tip over and we would get drenched and he was screaming. Nothing really ever scares Taylor. She is the most outgoing little girl I know.

Bridger did enjoy playing in all the fountains. As long as I was in his sight. I love the summer when we can do all these fun things.

Larson Reunion

The second reunion we had this year was the Larson Reunion. I was so excited for this reunion. We only have this reunion every other year. Since we have been living in Kansas the past 4 years we hadn't been to this reunion since we were first married. So I was more than ready to see all of my cousins and their kids. We had so much fun. This day we went to a place out in the boondocks. Seriously but it was a lot of fun. The kids loved playing in the water and spending time with family.

Silcock Reunion

Our first family reunion we had was the Silcock Reunion. It is always in Mackay at the family cabin. It was a lot of fun. I was in charge of games and so I was terrible at getting very many pictures. The kids loved having horse rides, four wheeler rides, Uncle Bob's cotton candy, and swimming. Jaman and I always spend quite a bit of weekends at the cabin so our kids always enjoy their time there.

Taylor and her cousin Cal. These two play so good together. I think I have maybe heard them fight once. I always enjoy family reunions. It is always fun to see all your extended family that I don't see to often.
