Easter Morning

We spent Easter at my parents house. It is always a lot of fun to be able to spend it with family and cousins. My mom colored eggs with all the grandkids. We had a big easter egg hunt and played lots. Bridger got about half way done with the egg hunt and decided he would rather just sit and eat his candy. He is for sure my boy. Candy is something we have in common.

Easter Weekend

We all had a lot of fun at my parents. We went out with all the kids and played baseball and flag football. We didn't have any professional flags so we just used plastic bags. Pretty redneck but it worked great and everyone had a lot of fun.

Grandpa is always so good at giving all the grandkids horse rides. My kids are always in heaven when he saddles them up.

Our short lived pet

On our way home from our trip to California we thought it would be fun to surprise the kids with a puppy. They had been asking for one. I am so not a pet lover and would never give in. I guess it took me being away from my kids for 5 days that made me feel soft hearted and give in. So when we landed in Salt Lake we went and picked up Bentley. The kids were so thrilled when we showed up at my parents with him. The next few months were a lot of fun. Little cute puppy and happy kids. Well as you know puppies grow and get bigger. Lets just say he became a big stinker. Constantly ripping clothes, screen doors, air conditioner cords, and jumping all over the kids knocking them over. Well you guessed it. I just can't handle that. I am a little OCD. So Bentley had to join a new family. Bridger was so excited he left because he could now play outside without being attacked. Taylor was sad but not to sad. Jaman and I decided that was probably all our dog days. They will just have to love and play with their cousins dogs. I know I know what mean parents. Dogs are harder than kids in my opinion. But here is our record that we did try. We can at least say we did have a dog.

A fun getaway!

Wow! I feel like it has been forever since blogging. I fell out of blog land for some time. I went to blurb my blog into a book for our family journal. My whole purpose to blog and it wasn't as easy as I was hoping. I wanted the format all changed and it took a lot of time. I really don't love to spend a lot of time on the computer so I just quit blogging all in all. Now I am far behind and I am really trying to gain the desire to do it again. In March Jaman and I had a fun getaway. I say fun cause that is exactly what it was. Not really relaxing but lots of fun. We played hard like two little kids. So hard this is seriously all the pictures I took. Jaman had never in his life been to Disney Land, the beach, or Universal Studios so we went and did all that. Just the two of us. My parents took our kids so we went and spent 5 days in California. It was so much fun. It was nice to just be together. No stress of kids. Just the stress of crazy crazy traffic that made us really appreciate our small town of 3 stop lights. I can't wait to have another trip together. Next time it will be a more relaxing getaway.
